For this weekend we are organizing a one day bike trip to Szentendre.
Hopefully the weather will be nice and sunny, you can get to know the outskirts of the city and have fun together.
WHEN: 26th of september (saturday), 11.00 AM ( do not be late, we need time to pick up the bikes)
MEETING POINT: Goldmann Square (BME)
Szentendre is a nice little city on the Danube bank north of Budapest (20 km). The city has many places to visit (like the Marzipan Museum) and a nice old town. For a more detailed list click here.
Aslo you can try some traditional foods in the local restaurants next to the river (there are a lot of nice places, a menu for 1500-2000 HUF, pizza for 1000 HUF) b ut it is not compulsory, you can bring some sandwiches as well.
The bicycle road will take as along the river where we can enjoy the spectacular view. If you want, on the way back we can take a small detour to check out Óbudai Island home of Sziget festival, which is a tranquil and quiet place this time of year.
HOW: Most of you do not have an own bike, so we can rent them for you from the BME bike centers. It costs approximately 500 Ft/day/bike + 5000Ft deposit (which you get back when we return the bikes).
